I have beginning metalsmithing skills, have taken a 2 semesters at Contra Costa College for Hot Metalsmithing, have taken a beginning soldering class at Silvera Jewelry School in Berkeley.

Description of Apprenticeship:

I am looking for in an apprenticeship to learn everything I can about metalsmithing and improve the skills that I have. I want to know about all types of metal, soldering, correct chemicals to use for each metal, such as liver of sulfur for creating patina's, different metal forming, and the list goes on. I love working with metal. My long term goal is to start my own business selling my jewelry online combining my beads with hand made metal jewelry. I have my domain names for my business but haven't created my website yet, a work in progress. I am from a family of artists and art is my passion.

I am currently a Certified Nurse Assistant and have been for the past 15 years, I work with private clients who have dementia, cancer, or need that extra help to stay independent. I am not afraid of hard work.

I am willing to help my mentor with what they need in exchange for teaching me their knowledge. I have computer skills, started and managed a roofing company for 10 years, great at organizing and arranging items, cleaning, gardening.
