Skills to Offer:

I have had some experience with woodworking. For two years I attended school for Architecture at Suffolk University and MassArt. Although I decided architecture was not the direction I wanted to go in, I gained experience in small woodworking projects and platform framing. I also have dabbled in AutoCAD and Google Sketch-up and love to draw-up my own plans. I feel that I have a strong and creative eye for design and can make a project look appealing while still being functional.

Description of Apprenticeship:

But why I do I want to be a woodworking apprentice? I love to work hands on. I never felt passionate about architecture because most of my day was spent drawing plans for a project that I would not get to build myself. With fine woodworking I can put more of myself into a project and feel accomplished with my finished product. I was reading an article the other day, and they were talking about how the new generation is going to lose the art of fine craftsmanship and how all the things we build now are disposable. I don't want to be apart of that, I have always had a passion for furniture design and want to build pieces that people will keep around for generations.

I would like to consider myself an easy person to work with. I take direction well and have always taken pride in my work. I'm self motivated and eager to learn.
