Skills to Offer:

I am a very creative person, whose motivation rose after starting this craft. I have taken and passed with a perfect grade, beginning and advanced Jewelry Making/Metal work at Oakland Community College. I have also taken and passed with a perfect grade Introduction to Sculpting which I believe has helped me tremendously with my wax carving and polymer clay sculpting. I have three years of retail experience which has taught me how to deal with people well in a professional setting. I believe I have a unique style and could really contribute to this industry. I have been working on jewelry for around three years now, and I don't plan on ever stopping. I am a hard worker and a fast learner, who is very committed and determined to excel in this craft.

Description of Apprenticeship:

I am a 21 year old jewelry artist and metal smith in making from Berkley, MI. My love for jewelry making began with creating unique crochet jewelry. This developed into a love for the art, and an interest in Metal Work. I since have taken and passed with a perfect grade Beginning Jewelry Making/Metal work and Advanced Jewelry Making/Metal work. I plan on continuously re-taking advanced Metal work to build my skill until I have the opportunity to transfer or take on an apprenticeship of sorts. I have completely fallen for the art and would love to grow my skills and knowledge of the industry in a setting outside of school. I do not believe I am designed to learn this skill, or any in a public school setting, but I am pushing myself to do so until I can find a more fitting alternative. What I am looking for is someone who is willing to take me in and show me everything they know of this skill. In return I am willing to offer free labor, whether that be in retail, clean up, or helping with metal work. This is something that is really important to me, a craft I love dearly, and I would really love to excel in it.
