Skills to Offer:

I have experience with bronze casting and welding. I also have a proficient knowledge of mechanical systems, electricity (both AC/DC), plumbing and light woodworking. I have a minor in fine art (from Kentucky State U), and have studied 3D design at RISD and NYU. I have spend several years working as a deckhand/engineer on large sail boats, so I also can bring a fairly good grip on rigging.

Description of Apprenticeship:

I would like to put in some honest time working as an assistant to a professional artist/craftsperson. Not only am I looking to approach this as an entry into the hands on of the trade, but also to see how the internal management of the operation functions. Of course I would love to learn more about technique and methodology of the process, but I know that what also matters is the business side of the artist/crafter. I have a flexible way of working and do not back down from the long hours of the mundane, or the rapid changing of gears that may ensue.
