Skills to Offer:

I have knowledge of very basic metalry, including soldering, cutting, and polishing, among other basic skills. I can use a torch and make basic jewelry, including rings.

Description of Apprenticeship:

I'm a music student at Wittenberg University in Ohio with a soon-to-be minor in silver jewelry. I'm currently in a basic silver jewelry class, but I'm learning the skills very quickly. If needed, I can provide pictures of my work.

I'm looking for an apprenticeship, preferably paid, but unpaid is fine too, in either metalsmithing or blacksmithing. I love working with my hands and think I'd like to, combined with performing musically, make a living with it. The trouble is, my school only offers silver jewelry in terms of metal working. I'd like to spend this, and possibly subsequent summers learning the trade.

I've always had an interest in ornamental swords and would perhaps like to try my hand at making one once I have the know-how, but any instruction in metal would be greatly appreciated.
