Description of Apprenticeship:

My jewelry work has just started. I have been taking classes at Pratt Institute in downtown Seattle doing sawing, filing, forged iron, welding....the whole shebang. I am going to continue to take the classes, but unfortunately they are pricey, and I have to save up for them. (About 500 a pop.) I would like very much to be in a workshop of an artist and learn from them one on one. I am eager to learn, and have ALWAYS enjoyed working with my hands. I have worked in forestry, I have been a florist, an artist, a photographer, and I am currently a farmer. Metals have pulled on my heartstrings and now I just cant stop. I would love the oppotunity to help around the studio, even if its just taking out the trash :). I just sold my car, but I love the bus and can get just about anywhere in Seattle. Thank you in advance for checking me out!!
