Description of Apprenticeship:

My first pottery experience was when I started taking ceramic classes in high school. It was love at first touch!!! I loved it so much I took it my last three years of high school, winning top ceramic student of the year for two years. After high school I studied at the University of South Florida and graduated in 2012 with a BA in Studio Art. I took ceramics for two semesters at USF as well as other mediums such as painting, drawing and photography. My focus has always been in ceramics. In my classes we were mostly taught only the basics of making pottery such as slab construction, coils, molds and did not get much wheel throwing experience. My last semester of college I started an internship with a small pottery company. Due to the location being so far away I was only able to attend once a week.

I would love to have the opportunity to work with you and gain more knowledge of wheel throwing and working in a pottery buisness. My hope for the future is to own my own pottery business, creating, selling and interacting with customers. This opportunity will surely give me the knowledge and experience that I need in order to take me in the direction of my future career.
