Skills to Offer:

I started jewelry making about a year ago at the jewelry studio of Colorado College, where I am about to graduate. I've focused mostly on bezel setting stones to make rings and pendants. I know basic soldering and metal working techniques and have gotten a lot of practice settings stones and making rings. I am very excited to learn more and want to continue making jewelry after college.

Description of Apprenticeship:

I am 22 and am graduating from Colorado college this may. I was inspired to start making jewelry from seeing Native American jewelry and metal work and have a particular fascination with Native American made or styled rings set with stones. I am looking for someone to learn from who makes jewelry along this vein and would like to get skilled setting stones and doing metal work on rings brackets and necklaces and would also be very interested in learning how to cut and prepare raw stones for setting. I am a very motivated and dedicated person and I have really fallen in love with jewelry making. I would be happy and willing to do any work to help my mentor with they're work or around the studio just as long as I could learn and practice new techniques. I am not attached to any particular place but would like to stay in the west.
